position based in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will lead the
New Product Development (NPD) and Quality Assurance efforts focused on bakery
A Ph.D in Food Science & Nutrition is required, plus a minimum of 5 years experience showing increasing responsibility in roles involving successful coaching of technical teams as well as interaction with senior management, suppliers and plant personnel.
Formulation of extended shelf life products, nutritional claims, labeling, plant trials, consumer testing and sensory evaluation. Includes the development and implementation of HACCP and sanitation programs, manufacturing control plans, SOPs and training. Dealing with regulatory agencies, consumer complaints, consultants and co-packers.
